Dr. Chris Gaynor is a locally trained, board-certified family physician with extensive experience in full-spectrum family medicine, including obstetrics. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Chris is a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine and earned his degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Union College in New York. Dr. Gaynor completed his Residency at Providence Family Medicine (now Swedish Family Medicine) where he was awarded the American Academy of Family Physicians Meade Johnson Award for service and excellence in residency training.

Dr. Gaynor has long been passionate about mental health, having worked as a psychotherapist and having volunteered for people with AIDS during the height of the 1980’s epidemic. Because of Chris' strong psychology background, he focuses on guiding his patients toward mind-body wholeness. He particularly enjoys working with children and adolescents and caring for GLBT and multicultural families.

During the 1990’s, Chris served as a Staff Physician at the Community Health Center of Snohomish County (CHC) where he performed full-spectrum family medicine, including hospital and ICU admissions and obstetrical deliveries. After 6 years at CHC, he began working at the Seattle Indian Health Board, first serving as a staff physician and later becoming Site Director. During this time he was awarded the Charissa Fotinos Community Service Award and the Peter Talbot Teaching Award. For the past several years, Chris has managed his own private practice, Rainbow Family Medicine at One Sky Wellness, where he has worked alongside complementary and alternative medicine practitioners.

Committed to helping the community throughout his career, Chris has served on numerous committees including the Snohomish and King County Chapters of Family Medicine, the Washington Academy of Family Physicians (WAFP), the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Commission of Health of the Public and the WAFP delegate to the AAFP Congress of Delegates. Nationally, he has also acted as Chair of the National Conference of Special Constituencies for the AAFP, which represents underrepresented women, minorities, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and international medical school graduates. Dr. Gaynor is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Washington.

Dr. Gaynor is thrilled to join Qliance and values empowering his patients to be as healthy as they can be. He is committed to working with his patients to make healthy changes that fit with their lifestyle. In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his partner and their son as well as gourmet cooking, hiking, camping, swimming, kayaking, musical theater and all things outdoors. He is a member of the Seattle Men’s Chorus.

Dr. Courtney Johnson is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Denver School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in Music Therapy from the University of the Pacific. Dr. Johnson completed her Residency in Seattle in 2000 during which time she received the Roy Virak Memorial Scholarship for her continued commitment to community service. Courtney’s enthusiasm for medicine began with an interest in mental health; during the early and mid 1990’s she worked as a mental health specialist and music therapist at the San Joaquin County Mental Health Center in Stockton, the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan in Denver and the Minirth-Meier Clinic in Burien.

Dr. Johnson’s focus on primary care started in 2000 at the Community Health Center of Snohomish County where she worked as a primary care physician with obstetrics. In 2002, Dr. Johnson began at the Holly Park Medical Clinic, a branch of International Community Health Services (ICHS) where she provided primary and obstetric care. During this time, Courtney served on the Service Advisory Board for ICHS’ HIV Early Intervention program.

Courtney’s passion for family medicine has kept her very active in the health care community. She has served on numerous programs and initiatives including the Country Doctor Community Clinic Diabetic Outreach Project, the Swedish Family Practice Residency Homeless Shelter Project, the WAFP Child and School Health Committee among others. She has also served as the Co-Founder of the Swedish Family Practice Residency Teen OB Clinic. Courtney became involved in quality systems and increasing the efficiencies of medical clinics when she served as the Clinical Representative for the NextGen EMR Planning and Implementation team, Executive Sponsor and Pilot team member of the Institute for Health Care Improvement IMPACT team for Care Model Redesign. As medical Director of ICHS, she honed her knowledge of medical systems and quality.

Dr. Johnson is excited to join the Qliance team and values providing personalized, high quality and convenient care to all Seattleites. She believes that the context in which people live directly impacts their health and that health care is more effectively delivered when this is addressed during an office visit. In addition to family medicine, she especially enjoys reproductive, international and preventive care. In her free time Courtney enjoys hiking, skiing and kayaking with her partner and her daughter. An accomplished cellist, Courtney enjoys listening to and playing in Russian symphonies. Dr. Johnson is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice.

Jennifer grew up in Seattle, Washington and holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Sociology from Western Washington University. After graduation, Jennifer moved to Wenatchee, Washington where she was first exposed the health care field working in a community health center.

In 2004, Jennifer moved back to Seattle where she began research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center on breast and ovarian cancer. While working with cancer survivors, Jennifer realized that a quality health care provider is one who advocates for and offers guidance to patients, promotes a patient’s autonomy in decision making, takes a holistic approach to medicine and treats each patient as an individual with unique needs. Today, Jennifer strives to achieve each of these goals while working with her patients.

In 2008, Jennifer graduated from Seattle University with a Master in Science of Nursing with a specialty in Family Practice. Her areas of interest include adolescent medicine, women's health and preventive medicine. Jennifer is thrilled to be part of the Qliance team and looks forward to building lasting relationships with her patients and providing quality, cost effective and convenient health care. Dr. Erika Bliss is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in History from San Francisco State University and a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from Stanford. She completed her medical training at the Swedish Family Medicine Residency Program in Seattle in 2003. She worked briefly for the Community Health Centers of King County before accepting a permanent position at Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center in Seattle, where she served as a staff physician, Clinical Site Director, and Director of Clinical Quality.

Dr. Bliss has traveled extensively in Mexico and Central America. There she collaborated with a local women’s health and human rights group to do research, including a video project, on domestic violence. In addition, she developed and implemented a medical education exchange program with a rural hospital in Honduras. While in medical school, Dr. Bliss was a founding member of the Free Clinic Project of San Diego, a student-run project that delivers primary care to homeless and indigent people. Not only has Dr. Bliss focused on direct patient care, she has also been involved in organized medicine and health policy through her work with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Additionally, she served on the education task force for the Future of Family Medicine Project, a national effort to chart the direction of Family Medicine for future decades.

Dr. Bliss is a member of the board of the Washington Academy of Family Physicians, and serves on the steering committee of P4, Preparing the Personal Physician for Practice, a project to transform family medicine residency training in the US. In 2009, she was elected to serve on the American Board of Family Medicine, the organization that oversees certification and continuing education requirements for family physicians across the US. Dr. Bliss is delighted to be a part of the Qliance team and values providing personalized, high quality and convenient care to the people of Seattle. Her special interests include chronic disease management, care of children, geriatric medicine and mental health issues. Dr. Bliss feels that building relationships that empower patients to take charge of their health is the most important part of her work, and has a particular interest in studying and working on communications between health care providers and their patients.

Dr. Bliss lives with her family in Kirkland. In her spare time she enjoys travel, cooking, hiking and taking in the many movies and cultural events in the Seattle area.

Dr. Lili Sacks comes to Qliance with expertise in internal medicine. Dr. Sacks received her undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago and her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School Of Medicine. Dr. Sacks followed her residency at the University of Washington with work at Harborview Medical Center in the AIDS Clinical Trials Unit from 1993-1995. She joined Minor & James Medical in 1995 until joining and moving her practice to Qliance in 2008.

Dr. Sacks’ special interests include women’s health and HIV medicine. In her free time, Dr. Sacks enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, cooking and listening to music.

Dr. Basilico moved to Seattle from New York where she ran the medical practice Downtown Primary Care, which she started in 2002. This three physician practice was located in Greenwich Village and served the downtown Manhattan community. The practice focused on quality care founded in excellent doctor-patient communication.

Enrica believes that a primary care physician should be a "go to" resource for all of a person's health needs and that doctor-patient trust is the foundation of all excellent primary care. She was drawn to Qliance and it’s mission of creating an environment where this type of relationship can flourish and is very excited about joining the team.
