seattle-clinician-erika-seattle-best-doctor Lynne Duran, ARNP: Family Medicine, practice open

Specialty: Family Medicine

Certification: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners - Board Certification in Family Practice

Education: Pacific Lutheran University, BA - Biology; Pacific Lutheran University, MSN

Languages: English

Lynne has acquired a wide variety of experience since entering the Nursing profession in 1983. In 2002, she returned to Pacific Lutheran University to attain a Master’s degree in Nursing, graduating in the top 1% of her class.

After graduation, Lynne worked in a Family Practice setting with a physician specializing in functional medicine, a type of individualized health care that deals with primary prevention of illness and focuses on underlying causes instead of symptoms. During this time, Lynne continued to develop her personal philosophy of health care which is based on a partnership between the provider and patient. From her perspective, this partnership requires both the medical expertise of the provider and the patient’s expertise in his or her own life.

Following this experience, Lynne was a co-owner in a Family Practice clinic. This was an excellent opportunity for her to put her health care philosophy into action through the development of clinic policies which emphasized patient-centered care.

Lynne believes that her role as a provider is to empower individuals to successfully manage their health issues and to attain the highest possible level of wellness. Her special interests include the relationship between the mind and body, adolescent issues, and the management of asthma, diabetes and high blood pressure.

Lynne is proud to be a Northwest native and currently lives in Auburn with her family. She has a great appreciation for nature and likes to spend time exploring the beautiful outdoors of Washington State. She is thrilled to be a part of the Kent Qliance team because of its mission to provide high quality care where patient service and patient satisfaction comes first.

"Their approach to patient care and wellness does not come from a bunch of individual doctors but rather from an organizational philosophy that everyone [has] bought into."
