Background
Amy was born and raised in the Seattle area and loves being surrounded by the mountains and water of the pacific northwest. While pursuing her undergraduate degree in nursing, she worked in both long-term care and pre-hospital environments. As a nurse she focused primarily on pediatrics, working in a busy pediatric trauma center and also as school nurse. She returned to school to become a family nurse practitioner, wanting to expand her scope of practice to include all ages of patients. She enjoys the variety and challenge of family practice and working with patients to improve their quality of life. In her free time she enjoys being outside as much as possible: Hiking, beachcombing, and spending time with her husband, two teenage daughters and two Labrador retrievers.
