Dr. Mautner performs numerous in-office procedures.
Dr. Dawn Mautner is a board-certified family physician with extensive experience in a variety of settings. She considers the West her home, having grown up in Oregon. After working as a Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador, where she gained a passion to eliminate health disparities and Spanish fluency, she graduated from Penn State College of Medicine. She trained in Family Medicine at the County of Los Angeles (Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California) and went on to complete fellowship training in faculty development at Harbor-UCLA, then health policy research through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program at the University of Pennsylvania. She then joined the medical faculty of Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, first as a research fellow, then as full time faculty, teaching, providing clinical care and doing research. During this time, she supervised trainees and provided patient care to Spanish speaking families at Puentes de Salud, a free clinic for the Latino community. Her research with the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers explored drivers of frequent hospitalization in complex patients. She is interested in systems-level thinking and policy to improve care and outcomes, especially for our most vulnerable communities. She has also trained many future health care providers and public health professionals in research as well as direct provision of care. She particularly enjoys helping trainees find their passion and incorporate that into their career plans.
Dr. Mautner left Philadelphia with her family in August of 2016 and spent two months driving and camping across the U.S. to the Pacific Northwest. She is delighted to join the community of providers, staff and patients at Qliance. She appreciates the opportunity to facilitate the efforts of patients and families to make healthy changes, and build healthy lifestyles.
When not at the office, she loves to practice yoga, play volleyball, and explore the beautiful outdoors with her husband and children. She and her husband enjoy adventures in travel, music and food from many cultures.
